Dear motor racing fans
In a few days I’ll be at Le Mans for the annual pilgrimage. As every year, I will be happy to see you on my stand in the circuit village C37 path G Singher.
For this occasion I have worked on several new paintings : first a tribute to one of my favourite sporting brands, Aston-Martin and their 1959 victory. I have tried to create a dark, dramatic scene depicting the tremendous battle between Salvadori-Shelby and the Ferrari 250TR of Gendebien-Hill. I have added a nod to our British friends with the pistachio coloured twin cam MG of Ted Lund-Colin Escott.
This original acrylic painting is for sale on my web site (see original gallery).
Artists proofs are also available (see limited edition gallery).
I have also worked on 3 mixed acrylic/watercolour pictures with poetic atmosphere with Porsche as their subject.. First the victorious 917 of Le Mans 1970 driven by Gijs van Lennep and Helmut Marko with a sunset background. The second is a little drawn car the Porsche 911 RSR 1974 of Herbert Mueller and Gijs van Lennep this time with a night atmosphere. The third one shows the terrific 935/78, nick-named Moby Dick, driven by Rolf Stommelen-Manfred Schurti at sunrise.
These three original paintings are on sale (see original gallery).
See you very soon at Le Mans,
Benoît Deliège
